Fikr ("Fikr", "we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile keyboard application Fikr ("App"). The App is owned and operated by MUHAMMED RASHID KUZHIMPADATH (the "Owner"). This Privacy Policy explains how Fikr collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies worldwide to all users of the Fikr mobile application. It describes personal data and other information we may collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your choices regarding that information.

2. Summary of Key Points

• No keystroke or typing storage: Fikr does not store or retain the text you type with the keyboard (your messages, passwords, personal inputs) on our servers.
• Subscription & billing data: Subscription and billing are handled via third-party providers (for example, RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchase). We receive limited subscription status information necessary to operate your account.
• Third-party services: To provide the App’s features, we use third-party service providers (hosting, analytics, AI inference). These providers may process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

Unless explicitly stated elsewhere in this policy, Fikr does not collect, store, or retain the individual keystrokes, full message contents, or any private text you enter into other applications using the Fikr keyboard. This includes passwords and other sensitive content.

4. Information We May Collect

To operate and improve the App, we may collect the following information:

• Account & subscription information: Subscription status, plan, transaction identifiers, and related receipt or verification information provided via RevenueCat and/or Apple IAP. We do not collect billing card numbers directly. For payments, Apple or your payment provider processes payment data.
• Device & usage data: Non-identifying device information such as device model, operating system version, App version, and basic performance metrics. This helps with compatibility, troubleshooting, and product improvement.
• Analytics and crash reports: Aggregated or pseudonymized analytics (for example session length, feature usage) and crash diagnostics to help maintain and improve the App.
• Support & correspondence: If you contact support (for example via support@tryfikr.com), we will collect the information you provide in that communication (name, email, messages) in order to respond and resolve issues.
• AI inference inputs: When you use AI features (rewrite, translate, tone change), the text you submit for AI processing is transmitted to an AI inference service. We do not persistently store those inputs on our servers, except where necessary for transient processing, logging for debugging (limited and short-term), or when required by a third-party provider’s temporary processing flows. 5. How We Use Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the App and its features.
• To manage subscriptions and entitlement (via RevenueCat / Apple IAP).
• To diagnose technical issues, analyze usage patterns, and improve performance.
• To respond to user support requests and to provide customer service.
• To comply with legal obligations and to protect our legal rights.

6. AI and Third-Party Service Providers

Fikr relies on third-party services to provide certain features, including AI-powered text assistance, hosting, analytics, and payment processing. When you use an AI feature, the text you ask the AI to process is sent to an AI inference provider to generate a response. We do not store the text you submit for AI processing on our servers long-term. However, third-party providers may temporarily process or log the request according to their own retention and processing policies.

We may use one or more of the following types of third-party providers (examples): cloud hosting providers, AI inference providers, analytics platforms, and payment processors. Examples of services we rely on include, but are not limited to: Microsoft Azure (hosting), Microsoft AI Foundry / ChatGPT access via Microsoft (AI inference), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple In-App Purchase (payment processing). These providers process data under their own policies and agreements with us. By using Fikr, you acknowledge that such third-party processors may process data in accordance with their privacy and security practices.

7. Legal Bases and Legitimate Interests

Where applicable (for example under the GDPR), our legal bases for processing personal data include:

• Performance of a contract: Processing necessary to provide subscription services or support your use of the App.
• Legitimate interests: For analytics, improving the App, fraud prevention, and ensuring security and reliability.
• Legal compliance: Where necessary to comply with legal obligations.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and to comply with applicable legal obligations. Examples:

• Support correspondence: retained for up to 2 years unless you request deletion.
• Subscription records / receipts: retained for as long as necessary for billing, tax and accounting purposes (commonly 4–7 years depending on jurisdiction).
• Aggregated analytics and crash logs: retained in aggregated or anonymized form; raw diagnostic logs may be retained for a limited period (typically up to 180 days) to investigate and resolve issues.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect your personal information. These measures may include encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and secure hosting practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Fikr operates globally and may transfer data to, and process data in, countries outside your country of residence. When personal data is transferred internationally, we will take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection (for example by relying on service providers that implement appropriate safeguards).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

12. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

13. Children

Fikr is designed for general audiences and is not specifically targeted to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under applicable minimum ages. If you believe a child under the applicable minimum age has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@tryfikr.com, and we will take steps to delete such information as required by law.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App or via email (where possible) before changes take effect.
